From Notarisation to Legalisation, YT Notary got you covered.
My name is Yin Yin (Yinny), a Notary public based in Manchester providing professional notarial services to clients in the North West of England. I am also a dual-qualified solicitor (Malaysia and the UK) advising corporate clients and individuals on a broad spectrum of UK immigration matters.
Taking from experience in dealing with bureaucratic foreign authorities, I understand this can be difficult and confusing. At YT Notary, I aim to provide prompt and efficient notarial services to clients, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
YT Notary can assist with notarisation and/or legalisation of a wide range of documents including affidavits, powers of attorney, and more. Whether you're a company or a private client, no job is too big or too small. I handle documents going to every country worldwide and would love to work with you.
Any business engaged in overseas activities may from time to time require documents to be notarised.
Individuals can also need documents notarising for many different reasons, including overseas education, marriage abroad, and purchasing foreign property.
Where required, legalisation by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and/or by a country’s embassy or consulate, can be arranged.
Along with all notaries in England & Wales, I am regulated through the Faculty Office of the Archbishop of Canterbury. I am also a member of The Notaries Society.

For straightforward matters, I am usually able to charge a fixed fee which I will agree with you in advance. However, this isn’t always possible for more complex matters and in these cases fees will be based on the time spent dealing with your matter. In all cases, I will provide you with an estimate of fees and expenses on accepting instructions.

Notaries exist all over the world, but have different roles in different countries.
In England and Wales, a notary public is a specialist, independent lawyer who verifies facts and authenticates documents for use in foreign countries. Notaries perform a vital function in a wide range of foreign transactions for both individuals and businesses. Their existence means that you can deal with paperwork in this country rather than having to travel abroad to do so.
As part of the verification/authentication process, a notary public is usually certifying something to be true. This might include:
A notary public is fully independent and has an overriding duty to the transaction in which they are involved. In other words, a notary public owes a duty to everyone relying on their certification and must therefore be completely satisfied with all the information provided before finalising their certification.
It is almost always the case that you have been asked to see a notary because you have a document that needs to be used abroad. Seeing a notary is never a mere rubber-stamping exercise. The international duty of a Notary involves a high standard of care. This is not only towards the client but also to anyone who may rely on the document and to Governments or officials of other countries. These people are entitled to assume that a Notary will ensure full compliance with the relevant requirements both here and abroad; and to rely on the Notary’s register and records. Great care is essential at every stage to minimise the risks of errors, omissions, alterations, fraud, forgery, money laundering, the use of false identity, and so on.
Except in cases of straightforward certification of copy documents, it is helpful to send me the document (preferably by email in Word form, so that I can fill in blanks) before we meet. This will also enable me to check whether I need any further information and may save a wasted journey.
It will save time, expense and mistakes if, as long before the appointment as possible, you can let me have the originals or photocopies of:
The Notary should normally witness your signature. Please do not sign the document in advance of your appointment with me.
